Our Story

How it all started...

Los Lunas Christian church started in 1960s in the living room of a few faithful believers seeking God’s will; it has since grown and evolved into what we know today as Grace NM.
"We are a united body of believers, young and old, vitally connected to God, living a sacrificial lifestyle through worship and prayer, turning the world upside down with Jesus!"

Expanding the vision...

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

We love God with devotion to:
  • His Word
  • Prayer
  • Worship
We serve people by:
  • Ministering to their Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional Wellness
  • Equipping them to serve
We reach the community by:
  • Sharing the Gospel
  • Standing for social justice
  • Meeting practical needs

In John 5:19 Jesus said “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does." Here at Grace NM we are committed to following that conviction. We want to do everything we see our heavenly Father doing. We are led by a strong focus on being devoted to the priorities set out in the Acts of the Apostles namely:
  • His Word
  • The communion of the body
  • The remembrance of Jesus' death in the "breaking of bread" (Acts 2:42)
  • And to prayer
  • Worship

In a practical sense we see these carried out in small groups that meet regularly to see these goals realized.

The journey ahead...

  • We are engaged in a vibrant youth ministry also with this vision and mission in mind. Currently we see that God is doing a work among the homeless in our community and we are dedicated to being His body to meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs in basic discipleship.
  • Our mission’s efforts are ongoing in financially supporting efforts in the Middle East bringing the Gospel to Muslim nations as well as Israel introducing Yeshua as Messiah.
  • Our neighbor to the south (Mexico) has always been a priority as we are engaging in an effort to labor alongside our brothers and sisters at Our Surrendered Lives ministry in bringing relief to homeless and rejected children. The main goal is for their salvation and discipleship.
  • Our goal as stated earlier is to constantly communicate with our Abba and adjust our course whenever needed as quickly and responsive as possible. In short our life’s existence in this local body is to love God with our entire heart, mind, soul and strength and demonstrate it.
